In 2005, Kent Coward and Darren Meston founded EnviroShred, a document destruction company serving customers in Calgary, Medicine Hat and surrounding areas in Alberta. With 13 employees, EnviroShred provides on-site and off-site, Document Destruction Services to customers ranging from government agencies and correctional facilities to a wide range of small and mid-sized businesses.
To ensure the company’s success and increase its growth, EnviroShred’s executive team knew they needed the right shredding equipment to most efficiently provide shredding services to their customers. At the time, EnviroShred owned two shredding trucks that were unable to perform at the speed and efficiency required to keep up with the demand for shredding services.
After discovering Shred-Tech through online searches in 2006, EnviroShred’s executive team traveled to Shred-Tech’s Cambridge, Ontario facility to learn more about its shredding systems. Impressed with Shred-Tech’s facility and the quality of its shredders, EnviroShred decided to purchase two MDS-25GTX trucks.
Since then, EnviroShred has expanded its fleet to four mobile shredding trucks and has plans to buy an additional truck in 2008. The company’s revenue has also grown 325% since its purchase of Shred-Tech equipment.
The quick turnaround on service requests and the strong knowledge base of Shred-Tech’s service professionals help to keep EnviroShred’s trucks on the road and allow EnviroShred to provide reliable service to its many customers.
