Founded in 1998, Compass Systems and Sales, Inc. is an engineering-based company that designs, manufactures and installs fit-for-application pneumatic conveying systems for clients in a wide range of industries. Over the past six years, CSSI has made strong inroads in the automotive sector, largely because of its relationship with Shred-Tech.

CSSI sought out Shred-Tech when Nissan Motors needed an industrial shredding solution.  Shred-Tech worked closely with CSSI and customized the knife technology in one of Shred-Tech’s shredders to meet Nissan’s unique needs. Since then, CSSI has invested more than $2 million in shredders and has even begun working with Shred-Tech on customized shredding solutions for the destruction and recycling of pulp and paper, beverage cans and tissue paper. 

Sherrod commends Shred-Tech for the robust design of its shredders.  He also values Shred-Tech’s ability to collaborate with CSSI and provide custom solutions for the unique needs of its customers.

Since 1998, CSSI has grown from two to 28 employees and from $250,000 to $6.8 million in revenue. The economic forecast for the company is extremely bright and CSSI expects that 2008 will be its strongest sales year to-date.
